Baby Bump Diary: Week 26
What's Up With Little B
- Baby is about 36cm/15" long from head to foot and weighs 2+ pounds
- Little B's senses are developing fast, the baby will respond to touch, light, and sound
- Little B is growing really fast at this point and you can see it in the size of my belly, I can't believe how big it's getting :-)
Week 26 was great because I was surrounded by family. We live all over western Canada, so rarely get together, it was refreshing. Little B loved all the noise and talking, (s)he kicked away during the big family dinners. Now I'm home again and it is nice to be back in my quiet routine.
I haven't been getting enough exercise, so my goal this week is to get out for 1 walk a day. Spring is finally here and I'm excited to enjoy the sunshine and watch the grass turn green.
With all the travel and eating meals prepared by other people, my diet hasn't been the best. Now that I'm home I will focus on eating all the good foods from the farmer's market that I love. I was at the market over the weekend and the greenhouse farmers have all sorts of fresh fruits and vegetables for sale. They are delicious!
Preparing For Baby
The great house clean up continues. My sister gave me all the baby stuff (toys, tummy mats, blankets...) I could possibly need, so they've been washed, organized, and put into little B's closet. The in-laws are coming in a week with more clothes, blankets, toys, etc... and I'm ready with the space to store those.
I found an old picture of me and my mom when I was a baby. I will be framing this and hanging it in little B's room.
The next week is going to be really exciting. A new giveaway with an item for mother's day will start on May 1st. I also have many pregnancy stories to share with you from other women around the world.
